Having dedicated her career to serving non-profit organizations as a communications strategist and public relations specialist, Michelle Apuzzio now works as senior director of programs and communications for NACU. Michelle began working with NACU in 2008 as an independent communications provider, eventually coming on board full-time in 2015. She now directs communications, programs, learning communities, and events in a concerted effort to build relationships and opportunities among NACU campuses. She also works closely with the NACU president on grants and sponsorship proposals, strategic projects, and new initiatives.
Prior to joining NACU, Michelle was an independent writer, editor, and communications strategy consultant, working with clients in higher education and healthcare. She also created and taught a portfolio-writing course for nurses. She has a bachelor’s degree in health studies and a master’s degree in physical therapy, both from Boston University.
