Embracing Co-Intelligence

Unlocking the Power of AI for Faculty and Administrators

Join us for an engaging and thought-provoking 90-minute interactive webinar designed exclusively for faculty and administrators at NACU member institutions. In a world increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence, how can we leverage this technology not just as a tool, but as a co-intelligent partner in our academic and administrative work? Inspired by Ethan Mollick’s groundbreaking concept of co-intelligence, this session will explore innovative ways to collaborate with AI to enhance decision-making, refine processes, and gain a strategic edge in higher education.

Discover how AI can:

  • Help you avoid cognitive blind spots by offering diverse perspectives and challenging assumptions.
  • Act as a research assistant to refine syllabi, analyze datasets, and generate insights for institutional improvement.
  • Sharpen your ideas and strategic vision, giving your institution a competitive advantage in your region.
  • Prepare you for high-stakes meetings and difficult conversations, such as addressing sensitive personnel matters, by broadening your perspective and questioning your thinking.

This interactive webinar goes beyond the basics of using AI for routine tasks. You’ll leave equipped with practical tools and strategies to collaborate with AI in ways that truly enhance your work, from fine-tuning your teaching to navigating complex administrative challenges.

Whether you’re curious about how AI can transform your role or eager to deepen your understanding of this powerful technology, this session will empower you to move beyond email drafts and spreadsheets to fully harness AI as a co-intelligent ally.

Takeaways:

  • Practical examples of AI tools that elevate academic and administrative excellence.
  • Hands-on strategies to integrate AI into your daily workflows.
  • Insights into using AI to foster creativity, innovation, and strategic thinking.

This session will be led by Gregor Thuswaldner, Former Provost and Executive Vice President at Whitworth University. He is currently on sabbatical editing “The Provost’s Handbook,” which will be published by the Johns Hopkins University Press in 2025. He is also working on “EDU 2.0: Future-Proofing Higher Education with Integrative Learning.”
