Tuskegee University Launches Four New Academic Programs for Fall 2026
Tuskegee is expanding its academic portfolio with four new offerings designed to prepare students for high-demand careers: a Ph.D. in Information Systems and Computer Security, a Ph.D. in Integrative Health and Behavioral Sciences, a Minor in Nuclear Engineering, and a Sport Management concentration. The additions reflect the university’s continued focus on innovation, workforce readiness, and student success.

University of La Verne Expands Business Programs with AI and Financial Analytics
The University of La Verne is introducing a new Artificial Intelligence for Business concentration and a STEM-designated Master of Science in Financial Analytics. The programs are designed to equip students with the AI and data analytics skills increasingly sought by employers across industries.

Leadership Appointments

Moravian University Officially Names Jay Scifers Provost
After serving as interim provost since July 2025, Jay Scifers has officially been appointed provost, providing continuity in academic leadership as Moravian advances its strategic priorities.

Nazareth University Appoints Albert Orbinati as Associate Dean of Business and Leadership
Nazareth has named Albert Orbinati, Ph.D., associate dean of its School of Business and Leadership. Bringing nearly two decades of higher education experience, Orbinati has a strong record of growing enrollment and launching innovative academic programs. He joins the university on August 17.

North Central College Adds Leaders in Finance and Enrollment
North Central College has strengthened its executive team with the appointments of Sandra Zurawski as vice president for finance and chief financial officer and Dr. Michelle Kronfeld as vice president for enrollment strategy. Both assumed their roles on July 1 following national searches.

Tuskegee University Names Dr. Charlyn A. Hilliman Chief Information Officer
Tuskegee University has appointed Dr. Charlyn A. Hilliman as its new chief information officer, further strengthening leadership in technology and digital strategy.

Augsburg University Earns FirstGen Forward Recognition
Augsburg University has been selected as a member of the FirstGen Forward Network Class of 2026, recognizing the institution’s ongoing commitment to supporting first-generation students and advancing their success throughout the college experience.

University of La Verne Students Give Back Before Classes Begin
Incoming University of La Verne students kicked off their college experience by volunteering with Sowing Seeds for Life, helping distribute food to 1,120 community members. Through the Summer La Verne Experience, students assembled food packages, directed traffic, and loaded groceries—putting the university’s commitment to service into action before their first semester even began.
