Lynn University Joins NACU
The New American Colleges and Universities (NACU) is pleased to welcome Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida, as the network’s newest member. With Lynn’s addition, NACU now brings together 28 small to mid-sized private, comprehensive colleges and universities from across the country.

Known for its innovative, student-centered approach to higher education, Lynn emphasizes personalized and hands-on learning, global experiences and career preparation. The university has distinguished itself through initiatives including its block schedule, integrated use of technology, faculty-created digital textbooks and accelerated degree options. Its approximately 3,500 students represent more than 100 countries and nearly all 50 states.

As a NACU institution, Lynn faculty, staff and administrators will be connected with colleagues at NACU institutions nationwide through a broad range of collaborative programs. NACU’s learning communities provide ongoing opportunities for professionals in more than 20 functional areas to exchange ideas, compare approaches and solve common problems with peers in similar roles. Members also participate in professional development programs and webinars, leadership development opportunities, benchmarking initiatives, collaborative projects and special convenings.
NACU also oversees the Washington Internship Institute, which provides students with an immersive semester or summer experience in Washington, DC, combining an internship with academic coursework and professional skills development.
Lynn joins NACU during a period of continued growth for the consortium. Over the past 12 months, the University of Evansville, University of Redlands, York College of Pennsylvania, and Augsburg University have also become members, expanding the perspectives and geographic reach represented within the network.
