NACU Welcomes Saint Xavier University

The New American Colleges and Universities (NACU), a national consortium of higher education institutions that integrate liberal education, professional studies, and civic engagement, welcomes Saint Xavier University (SXU) in Chicago, IL, as its newest campus.

NACU campuses are distinguished, like-minded private institutions that are committed to providing hands-on, project-based learning so that students can connect theory to practice and classroom learning to real-world situations. Members also emphasize civic responsibility from local, regional, and global perspectives.

Saint Xavier University serves more than 3,500 each year through 61 undergraduate and 25 graduate degree programs. It is nationally recognized as a College of Distinction for supporting and maintaining an environment of engaged students, excellent teaching and academic offerings, and successful outcomes for our students with experiential learning, leadership and service opportunities, all within a vibrant and diverse community.

NACU administers learning communities for hundreds of administrators and faculty; professional development including an Emerging Leaders Institute and Wellness Series; collaborative research and benchmarking; and student programs including the Washington Internship Institute.
