NACU+ Institute: Introduction to Teagle’s CLL Grant

June 10, 2021
11:00 am
- 12:00 pm EDT

The NACU Institute+ will host a virtual session for academic leadership on Cornerstone Learning for Living (CLL), a grant funded initiative by the Teagle Foundation and the National Endowment for the Humanities.

Attendees will hear about the impetus for CLL and its remarkable results from Melinda Zook, director of Cornerstone Integrated Liberal Arts at Purdue University. Dr. Zook will discuss:

  • pedagogy of teaching with transforming texts
  • program design and integration into general education
  • growth in the humanities for pre-professionals
  • designing CLL as an earned certificate

There will be time for an audience Q&A.

All are invited to attend, but this content is especially relevant for provosts, deans, associate provosts and deans, directors of undergraduate programs, and directors of general education.

Please note this session is only for NACU campuses, and therefore you must register using your campus email address.

This session is the first in a series to educate NACU institutions on CLL and sustain a conversation on the power of transformative texts. Additionally, the series is intended to encourage our campuses to submit proposals to the Teagle Foundation, if interested, for funding consideration for a CLL project.

NACU Institute+ is dedicated to programming strategies to enhance academic and business performance at NACU campuses.
